How to install Ceiling Fan safely

Step 1: First Turn of the circuit or remove the fuse[recommanded] and tetst the power circute with a electric tester. Remove the current ceiling fixture. Make sure the existing work box will support. Check the workbox has metal cross braces that span between two small beams.
If you do not have access to your workbox then cut 2 by 4 inch to fit in between the small beams. After this install it so it touches workbox top. Always use screws and a screw driver/gun to anchor the wood in right place. From the room use 1 inch drywall screw to nail the box to wood brace.
Or you can also try accessing from the attic, and start install a metal cross brace from the rough opening in your ceiling and then attach the compatible workbox to the metal brace.

Step 2: Unpack the Ceiling Fan and assemble the fan according to the manufacturer's manual guide or instruction booklet that came with the package. When you are ready to hang the fan, take the mounting bracket and install it to the Ceiling Fan to the workbox. Some fan models comes with hanging frame that allows you to hook the ball end of the down rod in place. Some brands come in letter 'J' shape bracket that allows you to hang the motor housing while nailing up the wiring. The pull chain on the fan will also control the fan and its speed. And your fan comes with light attached install the light to the fan according manul instructions and then the other chain will be for the light on and off or dim and bright. If you have an extra chain that would be the clock wise and anti clock wise direction to rotate fan.

Step 3 : Finally the fan will get wired now and assembly according to the the specific help manual instrucations. And you may need to install the canopy to the top of the rod for safty. Now attach the blades and screew them with the washer in between screews to tight + safing your fan blades from damages and scratches.

Congratulations, now its time to test the fan now so go a head and plug back the electic supply to the fan circute and switch on the fan. Make sure the fan is balanced correctly and blades are tight.
